I have a background in art history and archeology, so I have developed not only a keen eye for aesthetics over many many years, but also a love for the ancient art of pottery in its many forms - be it functional tableware, vessels, or sculptural pieces of art and design from antiquity until today. And so in my own work I usually have the functionality of a piece somewhat in mind, when I create - but I put a heavy emphasis towards art and design. 
I work in Berlin and am a proud member of Kleistone Studio in Kreuzberg.
